I had been so disappointed when I was told that all my emails, call logs and sms messages were all going to be found in the same area! *I should mention that I was informed by a not-so-on-point sales rep from Telus
But ofcourse thanks to research and my undying curiousity I finally found some tricks and ways to work around what I thought was flaws on this Pearl. One of them being how to separate my emails from my SMS which was a BIG one for me! So here goes (it's actually ridiculously simple - wish someone had told me this when I first bought the phone - i wouldn't have had to delete some really blackmail worthy text messages lol)
Moving right along, follow the simples steps (I've added images to make it easier):
| 1) Go to the Message View (main message inbox where all messages currently come to) press the Menu Key and scroll down to select "Options". |  |
| 2) Then select "General Options". |  |
| 3) Under the SMS and Email Inboxes field, change the option to Separate, and then select the Menu Key again and select Save. |  |
| 4) You should now notice another new icon called "SMS" |  |

my general options does not offer the SMS and Email inboxes.
i do have email on my phone and am very tired of having to search through both email and sms messages. PLEASE help.

As for Anonymous User's question regarding not finding the general options... you have to be in the mailbox view and hit MENU key and find Options. The rest you can follow from the article.
Hope the tip isn't too late as I noticed I haven't been receving any of my comments from this blog to my email. I've fixed that issue now.
